Construction of embankments and platforms over poor quality subgrade material can be a costly exercise. The incorporation of a geotextile or Geogrid can enable initial stabilisation of soft subgrades and the use of key Geogrids and Geotextiles can serve as embankment reinforcement to increase factors of safety of dam walls and embankments.
