Mine site surface remediation and revegetation is an integral component of operations from exploration to mine closure and there is a need to minimise and mitigate the environmental effects of vegetation clearance and potential for sediment movement through wind and water erosion. The visual perception of dust generation and water erosion presents a clear challenge to the environmental requirements of a site, and does not present a visual perception of a site that is well managed environmentally with progressive rehabilitation in mind.
